문제군요...

CXX=gcc 로 잡지마시고요....

앞에다 아무런 옵션도 주지 마시고...

그냥 ./configure 하시기바랍니다.

보통 일반적인 레드햇 배포본에서는 알아서 다합니다..

괜히 손대서 부스럼 만든 격이지요...

혹시 그래도 안되시면 C++ 관련 팩키지가 설치 되었는 지 살펴 보시기 바랍니다,.
