A new release of pginstaller is now available - 8.0.0 Beta 3 Dev
1.
This release adds a post-beta3 snapshot of the postgresql backend,
and fixes all identified bugs in the installer.
Notably it also adds SSL support to the server which has previously
been broken.
For full details, please look at the release notes and the
changelog available from the pgfoundry page.
Once the mirrors sync up, this release will also be available from
all the postgresql mirrors in the subdirectory
projects/pgFoundry/pginstaller/.
Please submit any issues you have with the installer using the
support/bug/feature trackers or the mailinglist at the pgfoundry
page. Issues with the backend should be discussed on the main
project lists available from http://www.postgresql.org.
Please do NOT use this forum for issues with the installer, as it's
not monitored.

This release contains a post-beta3 version of the PostgreSQL backend. It was delayed post-beta3
to be able to add SSL support and few other minor Win32 specific fixes.
NOTE! A dump/reload is required if you are upgrading from a previous beta!
This release includes support for SSL, several new procedural languages, and a lot of contrib modules.
It also contains new versions of most bundled applications. See the changelog for details.
Please test these new features specifically if you have a chance.
This release also fixes all identified bugs in the installer itself,
and ticks off several of the feature requests that have been queued.
Note that since this is an in-between betas release, it is possible that a new dump/reload sequence
will be required when upgrading from this release to the next, depending on the development
of the main backend.
As before, please use the trackers or mailinglist available on pgfoundry.org/projects/pginstaller
for issues with the installer, and the project mailinglists available on www.postgresql.org for issues
with the database server.
