Advanced Directories (Aphelion)
Description:
The Advanced Directories (Aphelion) course is intended for analysts with experience installing and configuring the Aphelion server. This course covers a series of topics ranging from LDAP programming to performance and security.
Topics covered:
Directory Performance: Indexing, performance improvement, directory diagnoses, and tools
Using Security with the Directory: Encryption, encryption methods, encryption of directory contents (Directory Sentinel) managing passwords, digital signatures, authentication, SSL setup and usage
LDAP Programming : Programming using the Perl object oriented classes and methods
Web Interface: Configuring and using PeopleFinder, Weblink500, and White and Yellow pages
Multi-Master Replication: Theory, implementation, and configuration
Directory-Enabled Middleware: Connecting multiple directory servers, schema mapping, DN mapping, Attribute flow
Prerequisites:
A working knowledge of the UNIX and NT operating environments
Knowledge of a programming language
An understanding of computer networking
Successful completion of the Aphelion (LDE) course
Directory design and Implementation experience
